By: JL Events LLC Chef Therese Nelson has been in the culinary industry for ten years, creating thoughtful and seasoned menus that will promote the overall health of the young, conscious, urban professional. Therese Nelson has worked in some of the country’s most prevalent hotels, where she established her own culinary attitude. Chef Therese played the role as recipe consultant for the cookbook, “Get em’ Girls Guide to the Power of Cuisine,” with a group of ladies which later branded into Get em’ Girls Inc. She is currently working on the third, Get em’ Girls cookbook and establishing a catering company. Chef Nelson is also organizing the Black Culinary History project, connecting this generation’s minority culinary students with the past in an inspirational way. Chef Jackie Gordon is known as the signing chef, for both her singing and cooking talents. Jackie Gordon desired to make the dining experience fun, mixing food and music together. She is known best for her company Divalicious Chocolate Events, where her chocolate creations are paired with a song. Gordon created her singing-chef niche in 1999, while living in Australia, where she produced her first entertainment dinner show, The Fried Chicken Theory According to Jackie Gordon. The singing-chef is an award winning performer and producer with sold out shows. She will be releasing her first cookbook CD called, “No Singing at the Dinner Table,” consisting of over 100 recipes and 16 of her original songs. Chef Heather Jones is the brainchild of The Blacker The Berry Food, a cooking blog and Heather’s food diary. Heather is a professional trained chef, published food writer and a private cooking instructor, amongst other things. Chef Jones is a graduate of the Institute of Culinary Education in New York City. She has worked for Gourmet magazine and the Indian-fusion restaurant, Talba. She has also made appearances on Martha Stewart radio and on TV One’s “My Momma Throws Down” as a judge. Georgia native, Nicole Taylor is an artisan candy maker and the host of Hot Grease, a progressive food culture radio program. Nicole has worked as a community outreach consultant for the Brooklyn Food Coalition. She is a member of Southern Foodways Alliance, Food Systems Network NYC and is a frequent panelist at New York food events. Nicole is featured in “America I Am: Pass it Down” cookbook and is principle at NAT Media. About Southern Passion Lounge Is where the industry comes to hang out per say. Chef Amadeus discusses a myriad of topics from cooking, golf, lifestyle, to culinary technique. The show is designed to educate and entertain its listeners, every week there is new hot chef and every week the topic changes.
