Extreme Chef, Chef Amadeus and Friends

Sept. 7, 2012 - PRLog -- Friday, August 31, 2012- Extreme Chef Winner, Chef Amadeus will culinary chef of the 2012 London Olympics, Desmond Fannin, Hell’s Kitchen, Chef Nilka Hendricks, Northwest Kidney Center department head, Katy Wilkins and Chef Renata will join Chef Amadeus on his Radio Show Southern Passion Lounge, Monday, September, 10th, 2012 at 4:00pm EST. "This will be a fun and exciting show," says Chef Amadeus.  This week’s topics are Chef Desmond’s experience in the 2012 London Olympics, Hell’s Kitchen, Chef Hendricks and nutrition for kidney patients and how you can become an organ donor.
Chef Desmond Fannin and author of “The Way I ‘Sea’ it: A collection of 30 Easy recipes for the Seafood Lover,” realized his passion for cooking in his early high school years, while working for Ryan’s Steakhouse and the International House of Pancakes in Atlanta, GA. After Desmond received his Associates degree in Culinary Arts he pursued his dreams in culinary by becoming an Executive Chef at multiple corporations in Atlanta. Chef Desmond is now currently employed by Sodexo as the District Executive Chef for its school division. Chef Desmond was selected to represent Sodexo North America at the 2012 Olympics in London, England. He has also been rewarded his own episode on the Charlotte based TV show, “The Chef’s wife” in its first season,  and became a national finalist for the National Restaurant Association’s 2011 Faces of Diversity Award.
Chef Hendricks is the strong minded, energetic, no nonsense finalist of Fox’s Hell’s Kitchen. The mother of three originally intended to become a nurse to support her family, but knew her love for cooking was in her heart. She began her culinary career as the head chef at a new Vegan Café in Brooklyn, NY, where she created the entire menu, from mushroom soup to other exquisite dishes. Later Hendricks began working for the empire Hotel in Manhattan, NY until the opportunity for Hell’s Kitchen season seven arose.
Chef Renata, Seattle chef, who is currently undergoing dialysis procedures will join Katy Wilkins, the manager of fitness and nutrition for kidney patients at the Northwest Kidney Center, in Seattle, Washington. Chef Renata is now seeking a donor for her kidney transplant. Their mission at the Northwest Kidney Center is to help promote the optimal health, quality of life and independence of people with kidney disease. The Northwest Kidney Center will hold their 50th Anniversary Gala on November 10th. The proceeds of Chef Amadeus’ line of salt free spices, Southern Passion, (purchased on www.chefamadeus.com) will go to the Northwest Kidney Center to help aid Katy Wilkins, Chef Renata and other patients to promote patient care, education and research.
