The Medical Travel Commission to Promote International Healthcare Through Donations

Sept. 7, 2012 - PRLog -- The Medical Travel Commission today announced a program to donate 5% of all certification fees in support of healthcare services in a hospital’s local region. Each hospital that applies for MTC Certification for their International Patient Program will be asked to identify a local charitable or non-profit organization that supports the healthcare needs of the population within their region. The identified organization will be contacted by the Commission directly and will receive a donation to be used in support of their local services.

“We are making this initiative effective immediately. We are well aware of the potential effects Medical Travel initiatives can have on the citizens of a particular region and we want to work with our hospitals to help bring some of the collateral benefits of medical travel to the local population”, said Jim Tate, President of the Commission.
