‘Teachers’ Day’ Celebrated at Punjab’s Largest Lifestyle Destination, AlphaOne, Amritsar

AlphaOne, Amritsar celebrated the Teachers’ Day with school Teachers, Coordinators, Principals and fun-loving Amritsaris on September 5, 2012. Enthusiastic Teachers, Principals, Visitors and Shoppers actively participated in several MC led contests and events held during the Teachers’ Day at AlphaOne that included Musical Show and Dance Performance by Ms. Shriyansi Seth, the winner of AlphaOne Dancing Star 2012. The MC, Ms. Hargun Kaur’s enthusiastic and joyous interactions with the crowd got the contests going with fervor with felicitations and souvenirs given to the winners.  

AlphaOne provided a voting box to each of the seven participating schools namely, DAV International School, Amritsar, DAV School, Batala, DAV Public School, Amritsar, Ryan International School, Amritsar, Guru Harkrishan Public School, Amritsar, Harkrishan International School, Amritsar and The Millennium School, Amritsar. Over 5000 students voted for their respective Teachers from August 31st till September 3rd. The counting of the votes was done at AlphaOne on September 4th and the eventual winners were chosen on the basis of number of votes casted by the students, and the ‘Most Favorite Teacher’ from each school was duly felicitated by their Principal at AlphaOne.

Dr. Prodipta Sen, Executive Director, Marketing, Retail & Corporate Affairs, Alpha G:Corp thanked the Teachers, Coordinators, Principals, Customers, Visitors and Retailers present. He said “Teachers’ Day is celebrated on September 5th as a mark of respect and appreciation of teachers and includes celebrations to honor them for their special contributions in the field of education. Ms. Neera Sharma, Principal, DAV Public School, Winner of National Award for her immense contribution in the field of education was also present at AlphaOne and presented felicitations and a souvenir to the Most Favorite Teacher of her school. A visual presentation was given by the Current Apple team to all the Teachers and Principals regarding the novel and innovative teaching techniques with Apple products.
