JECRC University inaugurated by the CM of Rajasthan

Sept. 7, 2012 - PRLog -- The JECRC University was inaugurated by Shri Ashok Gehlot, Chief Minister of Rajasthan on September 4, 2012 in Jaipur. The event marked a new landmark development t in the history of JECRC foundation.

The JECRC University is focused to enhance research and innovation in education. JECRC University, Jaipur is promoted by JECRC Foundation, a premier and the most reputed educational group in Rajasthan, which has rich tradition of excellence in higher and technical education. Over the last 13 years, the Foundation has emerged as one of the most respected names in higher education in the region, drawing students from all parts of India. Among all the other universities in Rajasthan JECRC is known for a strong research culture and close industry linkages.

Shri Ashok Gehlot applauded the endeavor and appreciated the participation of private players in the education system. He said that the investment of the private sector has helped the state of Rajasthan in maintaining the quality of education especially of the higher education.
The University is expected to revolutionize the educational system of Rajasthan. It is bound to increase the opportunities of the students by providing them with high quality technical education. Dr. Malcolm Portera, Chairman JU Advisory Board, Former Chancellor-University of Alabama, USA, who presided the function, formally announced the technology transfer from University of Alabama and setting up of the state-of-the art Computational Simulation and Enabling Technology Lab at JECRC University, Jaipur.
Shri Vivek Bansal, Secretary, All India Congress Committee was the Guest of Honour and he applauded the government's initiatives in playing host to the development of the State.

The University is providing excellent infrastructural facilities. Spread over an area of 32 acres, it has received wide acceptance by the students as the University has attracted students of different backgrounds from around 17 states. This will surely help in the quality delivery of education and the students will get exposed to varied cultures. Such a commitment for quality delivery of education was made by Mr. O P Agrawal, Chairman, JECRC University. He also emphasized the focus towards community development and assured that the University will focus and continue the Foundation's legacy towards Research & Development.

Since the University focuses on industry oriented education, Brig. (Dr.) S. S. Pabla, President, JECRC University brought out the need and importance of employability skills in technical education.

The JECRC foundation has always been pivotal in defining the trends of educational facilities in the state of Rajasthan and by launching the JECRC University the education sector is going to witness a spur in the availability of facilities and opportunities for the students.
