Schubros Festbier Is Now Available
Sept. 6, 2012 - PRLog -- Just in time for Oktoberfest, Schubros Brewery, an innovative craft brewery that offers distinctively reciped beers, today announced the release of its Festbier, a refreshing classic style German  lager that boasts a rocky white head, pronounced malt aroma and subtle sweetness.

Festbier marks the first Schubros beer brand to be available at grocery, liquor, and convenience store locations across the East Bay, from Berkeley through Livermore. Yet, the brewery has kept the production of this beer tightly limited, bottling only 120 cases and filling fewer than 100 kegs.

While Schubros plans to offer its core four brands, including its flagship Nico American Wheat and 680 IPA, in cans, the brewery will be offering seasonal beers like Festbier in bottles. In keeping with this plan, beer enthusiasts can now find Schubros Festbier in bottles -- individually or by the case -- at select retailers.

“Classic Oktoberfest beers, straight from the beer gardens of Munich, offer a rich flavor profile that pairs well with food,” said Mike Johannsen, Chief Brewing Officer for Schubros Brewery. “This beer is crafted true to that Bavarian flavor, which makes for excellent pairing with sausage, pretzels, walnuts, chestnuts and almonds.”

“We’re excited to give people opportunities to find our beers at new places and enjoy them over new occasions,” said Ian Schuster, founder and President of Schubros Brewery. “Festbier is our first seasonal release and we couldn’t imagine an event more exciting or beer-culture defining than Oktoberfest.”

More About Schubros Festbier
In celebration of the beer gardens of Munich and Bavarian-style lagers, Schubros Festbier features Munich malt as the majority of the grist, giving it a traditional malt aroma. Festbier pours light amber into a tankard-style glass, offering a velvety white head as the perfect finale. The high carbonation aids in the refreshing clean tasting nature of this beer.

Schubros Fiestbier is now available in time for Oktoberfest, which runs from late September through early October, but no further runs will be made this year.  With only 120 cases and less than 100 kegs produced, the brewery expects inventory to disappear quickly. People can stay up-to-date on where to buy Festbier by following Schubros on Facebook or Twitter.
