Photographer Vincent DiLeo won first place among all entries in the Road Scholar photo contest.

Auburn Photographer Vincent DiLeo won first place among international entries in the Road Scholar photo contest. The winning photograph was taken in Costa Rica while traveling with a group of other photographers.

Sept. 6, 2012 - PRLog -- This Photograph was taken in Costa Rica in March 2012.  Vincent was part of a group of photographers traveling together and photographing beautiful Costa Rica. The photo that won first place was featured on the cover of the Road Scholar Catalog in September. Also inside the cover will be an interview about Vincent.

Vincent is also part of a group of 15 award winning artists that live in North Auburn, California.  They are having a North Auburn Fall Art Studio Tour http://www.northauburnartists.com on September 22-23, 2012 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. This is a free event open to the public.

Vincent’s photographs are far from ordinary.  Special techniques are used in Photoshop to create what he calls alternate realities. The use of color and texture play an important role, as does the layering of image-over-image to create these collage photographs.

Many of his new pieces will be on display at his open studio.  He is presently working on a series of photographs having to do with how quickly time goes by. Salvadore Dali’s art has been his inspiration for this series about time.
