Zomato is now 4 years old and the website gets more than 4 million users every month who use Zomato to discover the best places to eat around them. Zomato was founded by Deepinder Goyal and Pankaj Chaddah, both IIT Delhi graduates and ex-Bain employees, in July 2008 for Delhi NCR. Since then, Zomato has expanded its services to 12 cities in India including - Delhi NCR, Mumbai, Bangalore, Pune, Hyderabad, Chennai, Kolkata, Chandigarh, Ahmedabad, Jaipur, Lucknow and Indore. The Dubai launch is Zomato’s first step in its International expansion plans, which also include expanding into more cities in South East Asia & Middle East by end of 2012.

Dubai is one of the most popular business hubs globally, has a very vibrant restaurant industry and has high Internet penetration making it a good market for us to expand into. We are expecting a very good response from the growing business community in Dubai.”
