India's largest online Restaurant and Nightlife Guide launches in Dubai

Zomato has launched the Dubai section of its website with more than 3,500 restaurants listed along with menus, ratings, reviews, maps and photos. Providing information for all types of restaurants, Zomato is a one-stop-shop for anyone looking to eat out or get food delivered. Zomato’s biggest strength is that it provides scanned menus, photos and coordinates for most of the 3,500 restaurants listed in Dubai. The user, therefore, knows what to expect when he or she enters the restaurant.

Zomato is now 4 years old and the website gets more than 4 million users every month who use Zomato to discover the best places to eat around them. Zomato was founded by Deepinder Goyal and Pankaj Chaddah, both IIT Delhi graduates and ex-Bain employees, in July 2008 for Delhi NCR. Since then, Zomato has expanded its services to 12 cities in India including - Delhi NCR, Mumbai, Bangalore, Pune, Hyderabad, Chennai, Kolkata, Chandigarh, Ahmedabad, Jaipur, Lucknow and Indore. The Dubai launch is Zomato’s first step in its International expansion plans, which also include expanding into more cities in South East Asia & Middle East by end of 2012.
