Sept. 6, 2012 - PRLog -- Queens, New York -- Thursday, September 6, 2012--The guests are invited, the location is set, the drinks are chilled and the stage is ready, which, of course can only mean one thing … It’s finally here!

Thanks to sponsors like OPI, Miss Jessie's and Soft Sheen, Amour Creole, is excited to present “The Night of Trailblazers,” a commemorative evening in special honor of three members of the Caribbean American community.

The resplendent, invite-only cocktail party is in honor of three “Trailblazers” who are being awarded for their generous commitment, and continued service, to improving an important facet of life for the Caribbean community -- both domestically back home, and abroad.

This year we will welcome to the stage one Haitian and two Haitian Americans who have worked tirelessly to create a positive impact on the Caribbean community:

MARIE-YOLAINE EUSEBE is the CEO of Community2Community, a non-profit service organization working closely with villagers in Haiti to improve living conditions through the construction of roads, schools, and reforestation and clean water

initiatives. Because of Marie’s diligent work, water aquifers now provide a source of continual clean water for regions in Haiti, which led to hundreds of lives being saved during a recent cholera outbreak.

JIHAN ANTOINE is one of the founders of BelTiFi (Pretty Young Girl), an empowerment organization dedicated to professional development, personal advancement and civil engagement of young Haitian-American women. Thanks to Jihan and the rest of her team of young professionals -- termed affectionately as her “Beauties” -- promising
young women are connected with prominent Haitian-American mentors to achieve success in the U.S. and back in Haiti.

FIRMIN BACKER is the founder of the Haitian Renewal Alliance whose focus is on the rehabilitation and renewal of Haiti through investment, job creation, and professional training in Haiti’s private sector.

Set this year at the lavish restaurant and grille, The Vault, guests will enjoy music, drinks and hors d'oeuvres with a unique Caribbean flair while helping us to warmly honor this year’s “Trailblazers.” The guest list includes 80 prominent
leaders and entrepreneurs, all of who will receive a gift bag filled with promotional materials from the event sponsors.

Look for the event to be featured extensively in Amour Creole Magazine’s winter issue.
