WABCO owns and operates four world-class manufacturing sites located in India. Its second facility will produce cutting technologies and innovative products to supply commercial vehicle manufacturers in Germany, Japan, Poland, and the US, besides other markets across the globe.

The new 2,272-square meter plant will employ 160 people, including 30 engineers. Jaques Esculier, Chairman and CEO of WABCO and Leon Liu, President (Asia), WABCO jointly inaugurated the second plant near Chennai. The inauguration marked another milestone in the successful expansion of its global manufacturing network.
'The second plant is also an outstanding example of lean manufacturing, which further differentiates WABCO’s excellence in execution,' Esculier said. 'This new world-class plant in India further enables us to seize market opportunities in Asia and globally as we continue to leverage the well anchored, leading market position of WABCO India', he added.
