Alegix Acquires Social Media Provider Play It City

Sept. 5, 2012 - PRLog -- Chantilly, VA – September 5, 2012 ─ Alegix Limited Liability Corporation, a provider of intelligent IT Software Development and Telecommunications services, today announced that it has acquired Play It City (www.playitcity.com & www.playitcity2.com)  and its affiliates, a social media and online dating company, in an all cash transaction for an undisclosed amount. The transaction was closed on Tuesday, September 4, 2012. Headquartered in Hagerstown, with a global presence extending into North America, Europe and Asia, Play It City serves more than 5,000 users.

The combination significantly enhances Alegix’s IT platform with the addition of Play It City’s social media marketing. Play It City will continue to operate its core business as part of Alegix's portfolio of brands, providing technology and media solutions for social advertising and engagement to agencies and brands
