According to Mr. Ramlogan,"USMEA is focusing on schools improving military, veteran and their families retention rate in college, graduation rate, and most importantly their placement and/or career services providing graduates with employment opportunities within their degree fields of study".
USMEA-Online is establishing a list of schools and/or their leadership responses an/or lack of responses to inquiries as to why they have not been proactive in providing better veteran student services/support needed for military, veterans and student success.
For-Profit schools can spend thousands of dollars to attend an expo and/or military event to have instant contact with a military, veteran and/or their famiily member. Can they also lower their tuition cost to assist that member in the same manner?
USMEA is has been asking these hard questions to for-profit institutions"
USMEA will continue to advocate for our military, veterans and their families educational benefits to include employment placement after graduation.
In a recent discussions with active, reserve and veteran members the question was asked?
If we have earned our benefits and should be allowed to use them. Why can't we have the options to use our money to open a business if we don't want to attend a college and spend all that money with little or no return from that degree?
If I'm a construction person and want to open a construction company based on my expertise, why should I have to pay a school for a piece of paper and then work for someone else?
Why can't I use that same allowed education benefits and/or money to be able to open a construction company and work for myself?
These are hard questions being asked to our law makers.
According to Mr. Ramlogan "We need to make a change and answer these questions", Our military members wants answers from our law makers and they deserve it, because they have EARNED it.
