Since its commencement in 2001, the Big Bad Ball has been the recipient of the $10,000 sponsorship from this premier jewelry retailer. Fink’s Jewelers, a fine jewelry retailer with seventeen locations throughout North Carolina and Virginia, has long been an advocate for community stewardship.
Fink’s Jewelers representative Claire Brown says, “Hospice of Wake County provides an integral support system for families and their loved ones and it’s a privilege to return as the platinum sponsor again this year. We look forward to seeing these funds further help this organization, and our community, prosper.”
This year, Fink’s Jewelers is donating a Norman Silverman pendant that features a pear shaped diamond center stone of .50 carat weight with .19 carats of pave diamonds supporting, in 18 karat white gold, a $5,400 value. Fink’s Jewelers is also donating Norman Silverman drop earrings that feature 2 pear shaped center stones with .58 total weight and .39 carats of surrounding diamonds, in 18 karat white gold, a $5,100 value. Total value of both pieces exceeds $10,000.

The Big Bad Ball, A Sophisticated Soiree, benefits Hospice of Wake County’s Benevolent Care Program and Horizons Grief Center. The Big Bad Ball will be held Saturday, September 29th from 7p.m. – 1a.m. at the Capital City Club in Raleigh. This annual event is one of the leading fundraisers for Hospice of Wake County. In 2011, hundreds of guests attended the annual event and over $100,000 was raised. This level of fund-raising translates into 667 days of Hospice care and will allow Hospice to maintain a benevolent care fund, from which the cost of extending care to patients without means can be covered. Hospice of Wake County extends assistance beyond Wake by serving Durham, Johnston, Harnett and Franklin County.
