Call for Speakers: Medical Informatics World Conference

Cambridge Healthtech Institute and Bio-IT World announce a call for speakers for the inaugural Medical Informatics World Conference.

Sept. 6, 2012 - PRLog -- Cambridge Healthtech Institute (CHI) and Bio-IT World are now accepting speaking proposals for the inaugural Medical Informatics World, to be held April 8-9, 2013 in Boston, MA.  The two-day conference is designed to answer the rising need for collaboration between healthcare and life science teams, around the theme, “Deploying Information Technology to Sustain Innovation within the Rapidly Changing Care Delivery Models: ACOs, Meaningful Use, Bundles, Medicaid and Personalized Care.”

"We have been serving the research and informatics community for more than 10 years with Bio-IT World. Within that loyal community, readership and expo we have seen an evolution and expansion of our audience and the topics discussed – all the way from genomics and biology down into the clinic. The amount of data in ‘healthcare’ and the opportunities and challenges of leveraging it are immense.  It is time for us to dedicate an entire event to this, and we hope to bring together the providers, payers and pharma to help make the leap and bridge the healthcare and life science worlds," states Micah Lieberman, Conference Executive Director, at Cambridge Healthtech Institute and Bio-IT World.

Speaking opportunities are now available as Mr. Lieberman seeks to recruit the industry’s key players to present their expertise across the strategies and opportunities for today’s health information technology professionals.  Interested candidates are asked to submit their proposal online by September 26, 2012 to http://www.medicalinformaticsworld.com.

The agenda will include three major tracks on: 1) Provider-Payer-Pharma Cross-Industry Data Collaboration, 2) Coordinated Patient Care, Engagement and Empowerment and 3) Population Health Management, Segmentation and Stratification.  Keynote presentations will cover the industry’s most recent trends and challenges: Deploying Information Technology to Enable Innovation within the Future State of Care; Defining, Measuring and Managing Clinical, Operational, and Financial Risk; and Provider-Payer-Pharma Collaborations for Patient/Population Care Management.

The conference will be held in conjunction with the 12th Annual Bio-IT World Conference & Expo, CHI's flagship event showcasing the myriad applications of IT and informatics to the life sciences enterprise.  Medical Informatics World Conference completes the week of scientific content by bridging the healthcare and life science worlds.  As Bio-IT World Expo attracts more than 2,000 delegates from dozens of countries as well as more than 100 exhibiting companies, networking opportunities abound at the two events.
