"Chocoprizebars" Being Sold as Part of Waterbury, Connecticut's "2012 Fireball Run" Participation

Sept. 5, 2012 - PRLog -- In preparation for the September 27th arrival of “2012 Fireball Run Adventurally - Northern Exposure” (www.fireballrun.com) road rally to the Waterbury Green, Carmen Romeo, general manager of Fascia’s Chocolates, Inc. in Waterbury, introduced the specially-created “Chocoprizebar” chocolate bars. Through the ambitions of the Waterbury Regional Chamber, Waterbury is one of the 14 destination cities during the Fireball Run road rally from Ohio to Maine September 21–29, 2012.

Lynn Ward, president and CEO of the Chamber explained, “Fireball Run is an adventure and film created by Adrenaline Partnership at NBC Universal Studios in Orlando, Florida.  It is an epic 8-day, 14-city, 2,500 mile interactive adventure game featuring cars driven by teams from the 14 destination cities, and Waterbury has four teams participating. Fireball Run is dedicated to help locate missing and exploited children nationwide.”

Ward continued, “There are 40 Fireball Run teams from across the United States, including 4 teams from Waterbury. Every team is assigned a child missing from their home region. While competing in the road rally adventure, each team’s mission is to distribute 1,000 posters throughout their 8-day Ohio to Maine journey to help raise awareness of, and to aid in the recovery of, the missing child each team is assigned. Waterbury’s three official teams have been assigned to distribute posters for three area children - Bianca Lebron who has been missing since November 7, 2001; Angel Garcia missing since October 21, 2011; and Rosa Marie Camacho missing since October 24, 1997. Sales of the ‘Chocoprizebars’ will help with the funding of the journey of the official Waterbury teams participating in the ‘2012 Fireball Run’.”

Now on sale throughout Waterbury, each of Fascia’s “Chocoprizebars” contains a special golden prize ticket that offers the purchaser an instant prize. The top prize offered in one of hundreds “Chocoprizebars” created by Fascia’s is a $4,000 gift certificate to the Skip Barber Racing School at Lime Rock Park (limerock.com). Top prizes include an Apple iPad; a Spartan’s Pizza party for 10; and a Chocolate Party at Fascia’s headquarters in Waterbury for 10. Fascia’s, named “Best Chocolates in Connecticut” in the September 2012 issue of “Connecticut” magazine, volunteered to create the prize-bearing chocolate bars which are being sold for $5 each through September 27 in stores and business offices throughout Waterbury. They will also be sold during the “2012 Fireball Run” festivities on The Waterbury Green on September 27 between 3:00 and 7:00 PM for instant prizes.
