SMT components are usually very small and can or can not have wire leads. The size of the components makes it very hard to clearly label them, if at all. These unmarked components can be easily lost, and values can be forgotten.
Smart Tweezers is the solution to these problems. With one touch of the tweezer tips to the component in question, the device automatically determines the type of component, such as resistor, capacitor, or inductor, and then selects the proper range and test frequency signal to test under for the highest accuracy results. Also integrated into the device is a small graphic display, which shows the component type, test conditions and measurement results.

The combination of an LCR-meter with a set of gold-plated tweezers that act as the meter’s probes, and is designed for a production line component evaluation, on-board impedance testing and SMD components sorting. By the device automatically recognizes the measurement mode (R, C or L), it is the ultimate tool for sorting SMD components.
Designed to be a cost effective tool, Smart Tweezers features full automatic LCR-measurements. The device automatically recognizes to test under Impedance, Capacitance or Resistance, and automatically changes the range of measurement, allowing the user to focus solely on the job at hand, be it sorting or evaluating components.
Smart Tweezers features an LCD screen which is broken down into 3 main sections. The biggest font is the main impedance reading, this is the primary display. The secondary display, above the primary, displays the present reading of an additional parameter (such as parasitic resistance) and measurement. For example, the capacitor value appears on the primary display, while the ESR value is shown on the secondary display. The third section, a bar graph, allows for an analog indication of the measurement. The display shows 5 digits for most functions.
Smart Tweezers are also a valuable asset when testing continuity and diodes. It has an internal beeper that warns users when a reading is below threshold or to warn for an open circuit.
