The calendar will integrate events posted on the social media site and friend profile information will be added to the contacts list. For reliable communication anywhere, FaceTime will be accessible over cellular and Wi-Fi on the iPhone, iPad, and iPod.

New capabilities on the phone app include calling features that let the user decline an incoming call; replies can be in the form of preset or custom messages. It will also have options like reminders to return a call and a Do Not Disturb function to disable the phone.
