Follow Me: The Yoni Netanyahu Story is the award-winning documentary by Jonathan Gruber and Ari Daniel Pinchot. It tells the incredible story about the life of Yonatan Netanyahu. Netanyahu served as a Colonel in the Israeli Army. He was part of a deadly operation to save innocent people.
When 103 Israeli hostages were held captive at the Entebbe Airport in Uganda, Israel called upon a group of elite commandos to rescue their countrymen. On July 4, 1976 Lieutenant Colonel Yonatan Netanyahu led his men in a daring rescue to save helpless Israelis. When the gun smoke cleared the hostages were safe, but one hero didn’t come home.
The film follows the life of Colonel Netanyahu as young man who was called upon his country to protect those who were defenseless and the story of a man who struggled to find middle ground between his family and duty. The story is told through the poetry and personal letters Netanyahu wrote during his time in the Israeli Army. With the help of three Israeli Prime Ministers, and for the first time on camera Netanyahu’s wife gives her own account about the life of her husband.
Everyone is encouraged to come and learn the fascinating story of a real-life hero who gave his life at the age of thirty.
