Bournecoast welcome their 260,000th visitor to Bournemouth

The visitors being attracted to the town are from both the UK and overseas, due to the marketing efforts of Bournecoast.  

It is estimated that, using an average of £70 per day on tourism spend including accommodation, food and entertainment and taking an average stay as seven days, Bournecoast have directly contributed over £125 million into the local economy.

Des Simmons, Managing Director of Bournecoast and grandson of Bournecoast’s founder Major Webb, said: “This number really is incredible.  It’s not until we sat down and worked it out that we realised just to the extent our family has played a major part in the popularity of Bournemouth and the surrounding areas.”
