September 22, 2012, Animal Rescue Center of Bay County will be holding a Charity Sunset Cruise for the benefit of the animals in their care. The benefit cruise will board at 5:00pm and will leave the dock by 5:30 pm, to return by 7:30pm. The 2-hour cruise will be held on the “Island Time”, a 55-foot long catamaran and will feature entertainment, complimentary drinks, and hors d'oeuvres for guests. Beer and wine will also be available. The catamaran is coast guard certified and able to carry up to 77 passengers.
The “Island Time” is docked at 3605 Thomas Drive, Panama City Beach, FL 32408 and can be found right next to where the old Treasure Ship used to be.
Animal Rescue Center of Bay County, Inc. was founded in September 2006. The organization is a non-profit, all volunteer group that is focused on helping animals abandoned at local area shelters. The animals under the care of ARC are kept in private foster homes until they are adopted.
