EMART Asia Anchor Energy Trading Summit during Singapore International Energy Week in October

Sept. 4, 2012 - PRLog -- Energy trading in Asia is set to continue its tremendous growth, both in the physical and financial markets. Singapore, as Asia’s energy trading hub, will be the location of the next EMART ASIA summit from 23- 24 October this year– as part of the Singapore International Energy Week (SIEW).

“EMART Asia, now in its 2nd year, is the Asian spin-off event of the highly acclaimed EMART Energy conference and exhibition in Europe. Now in its 14th year, EMART Energy attracted 900 participants from 33 countries at last year’s event.  We are confident we can grow EMART Asia to an event of competitive size since energy trading in Asia continues to grow and develop enormously”, says Marcus Magee, General Manager of EMART Asia.

Highlights in the Programme include
EMART Asia will focus on issues of concern to managers working across the energy matrix and includes discussions on trading LNG, oil, coal, power and emissions. The focus will be upon the needs of the energy buyers, specifically utilities, and how changes in production, broking, shipping, storage and investment sectors will impact price and future strategies. One stream is dedicated to LNG trading as this is a relatively new development in Singapore and another stream is dedicated to trading operations which includes OTC reforms, the impact of electronic trading and trading infrastructure issues.
