PRLog - Sep. 3, 2012 - DEESIDE, U.K. -- CHESTER-based customer loyalty company Loyalty Pro yesterday unveiled ‘Slatepoint’, the new tablet technology version of their high-tech reward system which they believe makes them the market leader in their field.

Loyalty Pro clients across the UK – who include a wide variety of retailers, pubs, hotels, and sports venues - are currently being fitted with Slatepoint’s new touch-screen tablets which will make the customer reward process even faster, more comprehensive and more user friendly.

“The roll out of our tablet technology represents a further significant investment in Loyalty Pro and puts us way ahead of our competitors in terms of ease-of-use, accessibility and speed of processing,” said Loyalty Pro Technical Director Rob Meakin, speaking from the company’s HQ at Sandycroft near Chester.

“When we launched Loyalty Pro back in 2006, our aim was to provide an affordable customer loyalty solution, similar to those operated by the big stores, for the small to medium sized retailer. We achieved that and Loyalty Pro has grown steadily.

“Now the Slatepoint tablet takes our technology to the next stage. It processes transactions instantly, with our central database returning information to personalise the customer experience and provide instant rewards. Furthermore the tablet can also be used for everything from visual promotions to interactive remote training of staff.

“Slatepoint’s tablet technology takes us leaps and bounds ahead of our rivals and provides our clients with much more than a customer loyalty package. Its real time interaction is the future of point-of-sale reward systems, because it personalises the purchase counter experience.

“Our new system also means that customers can register for the scheme on the tablet touch screen and the issued card is immediately active.”

Mr Meakin said the Loyalty Pro customer reward solution was still an affordable option for individual shops, restaurants and pubs but was also an effective loyalty system for linked retail chains and shopping centres.

“Loyalty Pro can provide a stand-alone retail loyalty system or be used to revitalise existing customer reward operations,” he added.

Asked if the technology could be applied to established loyalty schemes such as Chester’s Charisma Card, Mr Meakin said: “We can migrate information into our system from virtually any existing loyalty scheme, and we are always delighted to discuss its possibilities.”

One bonus of the tablet technology that had not been originally identified was the potential security benefits, added Mr Meakin.

“As the Slatepoint tablet is also a communications device enabling users to send and receive voice, video, email and text messages, some Loyalty Pro clients plan to use it to warn other retailers about shoplifters’ activities in their areas,” he explained.
