Kane also seemed excited about this collaborative effort: “I used accents of black leather in my AW12 collection and so wanted to create a hairband for TIGI that had the same attitude. A double strand in soft mock leather adds toughness and strictness and keeps the hair controlled and modern.”
The synergy between TIGI’s Creative Director Nick Irwin and Christopher Kane perfectly illustrates the bond and shared creative vision between hair stylist and designer.
“We believe hair and fashion are intrinsically linked” said Irwin. “It’s important that we translate the ideas we create backstage at catwalk shows into looks that girls can wear in their everyday lives and do themselves”
