Rockford Greene International Congratulates Phil La Duke On His 100th Post

Sept. 2, 2012 - PRLog -- (Monroe, MI) Rockford Greene International issued a statement today congratulating Rockford Green International CEO and Co-founder Phil La Duke on his 100th post to his personal worker safety blog.  La Duke made his 100th post September 2, 2012.

“It feels good to finally reach this milestone” says La Duke “several weeks ago, I made my 100th post to the Rockford Greene International blog, but this blog has a more storied past.” La Duke started his personal blog in 2006 at the urging of his employer at the time. “I never really aspired to be a blogger” recalls La Duke. “When I started blogging I did so under protest. I was doing quite a bit of writing for peer-reviewed articles and I really wasn’t interested in blogging; I just sort of dismissed the whole practice as self-indulgent blathering.  I fought like a bear to keep from blogging but my employer at the time insisted. Over time I grew to appreciate the format and it has helped me with my peer-reviewed articles and speeches. I was a real snob.” La Duke is a monthly columnist and contributing editor at Fabricating and Metalworking magazine has contributed to ISHN magazine and Facility Safety Management magazine.  La Duke will be speak at the Great Plaines Safety Conference in October, and the National Safety Council in Orlando also in October.

La Duke’s 100th post is titled Risky Behaviour Is A Fact Of Life and deals with why people engage in at risk behavior.

La Duke’s blog is reposted by bloggers in the UK and Australia and is the subject of numerous LinkedIn discussion forums.

“Blogging allows me to explore a topic a little more fluidly; I can do a little more free association in my blogs.  I get reader reactions and objections and shape them into print articles or speeches. I never really imagined that I would build this kind of following” says La Duke.
