"Clark became the official Spokesman for our company Spirit Pen this year. He is a great addition to our team at Spirit Pen. Clark brings a great amount of energy to our company and we are so very happy for him on his move to The San Fransisco 49ers", commented Joe Swantack, CEO of Spirit Pen Promotions LLC, when he heard the news. "I had to call Bob Fitzgerald (Spirit Pen - Director of Operations) when I heard the news and Bob was beside himself." Mr. Swantack added.
Mr. Fitzgerald had this to say about the call, "I was floored. Clark Haggans is an awesome person. You watch him on the field before the game and he's getting the guys all fired up. Clark Has the kind of personality that is an inspiration to any one around him. He's also one of the most intelligent and humble guys I have ever met. We were so proud to add him to our team. Clark was excited to work on the Black Out Child Abuse campaign with us. That's just the kind of guy Clark is. It's good to see Clark move up to such a fine organization. Joe told me the second he got off the phone with our Public Relations Director - Sean Carey."
The San Fransisco 49ers should be a good fit for Haggans. It is a team that has consistently excellent stats. Last season the San Fransisco 49ers outclassed the Cardinals in every area. This is very much an upward movement for Haggans
"Clark is a good friend and a great guy. He's always got you back and always has a way to make you laugh no matter how much you don't want to. I'm so happy for him, the San Fransisco 49ers are a great organization. I think he will be very happy there. They are getting a hell of a player as well." Mr. Carey replied, when asked how he felt about the news.
Mr. Swantack added, "This is a great day for us as a company, but Spirit Pen is happy for Clark. This is his day. The San Fransisco 49ers have made a smart more and we hope Clark is enjoying his moment. Congratulations Clark."
As was stated before, Clark Haggans also supports Black Out Child Abuse. For those unfamiliar with the Blackout Child Abuse Campaign is an anti-child abuse foundation focused on bringing awareness to the plight of children in the United States. Black Out Child Abuse, Inc., a 501(c)3 non-profit foundation, founded by Joe Swantack of Westerville, OH, Sean Carey of Pittsburgh, PA and Bob Fitzgerald of Ormond Beach, FL, is intended to bring awareness to the public and give support to victims of child abuse.
"We thank everyone for their continued support. If you want to loan support it's easy, send us pictures of you wearing "Black Out" eye-black at sporting events. We want to fill stadiums with fans wearing "Blackout" eyeblack, along with the players and athletes, to show abused children they are not alone. It will not stop there, this is just the beginning.
With a little help we would like to set up safe zones for kids to run to. Provide resources to help find the abusers and a long term goal of shelters and assist special placement adoption of abused children and provide assistance to those loving families who take on the toughest of the tough jobs, the care of an emotionally injured child. We can see no end to this massive undertaking, but we will continue as it is such a great cause. Every child should know unconditional love and feel safe. If that day ever comes we may be obsolete, but trust us we will not stop before that day."
