Same Old Shiver releases debut CD “Treasure What You Find”

PRLog (Press Release) - Sep. 2, 2012 - Rick Rivera began as a solo/acoustic artist back in 2006. For the first few years, it was a solo project until Anthony Montano (bass), his cousin, joined him.  Other members soon joined such as Giovanni Raffi (guitar) in 2011 and Brook Emelio (drums) in 2012.  
Since the union of these artists, they have recorded and produced their debut CD “Treasure What You Find”.  The single “I’m True” leads the line-up as it represents what most humans believe leads to lifelong aspirations, which is ultimately to be true to yourself. This song is about persistence, pride, love and betrayal.  “It tells a story of false promises and being able to cope with adversity”, states Rick Rivera.

“I’m True” is one of many songs that is significant in the overall storyline(s) being told.  Each song carries an important role in the overall theme of the CD.  It represents the intended theme which is simply to enjoy life to its fullest no matter what life throws at you.   With acoustic guitar in hand backed by electric guitar, this song has a slow, deliberate dramatic effect.  With deep vocals and a dramatic build up, this song carries quite a punch.  It captivates you and you cannot stop listening to it.  

Same Old Shiver is at their best when playing live shows.  This is when the audience becomes one with the performance.  True emotion is experienced with heightened and pronounced effect and audiences love every minute of it.
