THE EVENT: Experience Perfection in Acoustical Design at CSI Demo Event in Richmond, VA

"So the room looks great, but how does it SOUND?" That question is critical for architects, church pastors and music ministers, educational facility planners, and other building-design professionals. THE EVENT will give them the tools to answer it.

Sept. 4, 2012 - PRLog -- “So the room looks great … but how does it SOUND?”

Designing a space as an ideal setting for sound – both music and spoken word – is a significant challenge. Just ask any architect, theater designer, or music minister. Whether you’re designing a new space, or re-designing an existing one, creating acoustical perfection within that space is a huge challenge.

The challenge has been met, and you can see that fix in action at THE EVENT on November 14 and 15 at the Gottwald Playhouse at Richmond Centerstage. Presented by Richmond’s Communications Systems, Inc. (CSI) (http://www.csisystems.net), with support from Bose®, THE EVENT will show architects, educational facilities managers, theater professors, healthcare facility designers, music ministers and other facility design professionals how to use cutting-edge modeling technology to achieve acoustical perfection in every room.

Register for THE EVENT by visiting http://csi-bose-event.eventbrite.com. There is no cost to attend, with three demo sessions each day, Wednesday, Nov. 14 and Thursday, Nov. 15: 8am-10:30am, 11:30am-2:00pm, 4:00pm-6:30pm, with 75 seats per session. Each session includes complimentary food and beverage service.

THE EVENT demos will show how CSI designers use that modeling software to audition a room’s sonic properties, to tweak and tune sound reinforcement within that room for optimal sound in every seat and in every section. The demo will include live performance as well as playback of audio and video recordings, giving event attendees a real-time view of what acoustic modeling software, coupled with Bose® PowerMatch and RoomMatch amplifiers and speaker arrays, can deliver for any kind of performance or meeting space.

One sound designer had this to say about the acoustic modeling tools available with the Bose® system used by CSI’s designers:

“If you don’t look at this system, you’re cutting yourself short.”

Using Bose® Modeler software, a designer can create a 3D model of a space, importing data from Computer-Assisted Design (CAD) programs to quickly build out the model and test acoustic performance. These models can be sampled with a Bose® Auditioner system, which lets the design team preview the sonic qualities of a room with a variety of sound-reinforcement arrays.

Not only do CSI designers using Bose® technology help architects and other facility-design professionals get acoustical perfection - they help them get acoustical perfection fast. Churches, theaters, schools, healthcare facilities - all of these can build sonic perfection with the help of CSI and its sound-design technology tools.
