Green Clean Institute Uses Social Media

Websites are just not enough anymore. As the Internet expands, the world seems to shrink. The Green Clean Institute shows off its new social media efforts to change the core of Green cleaning standards.

Sept. 1, 2012 - PRLog -- Back in 2006, a good website was everything.  The design of the Green Clean Institute website focused on page design, titles, tags, and links.  The best rated sites were intricately design to appeal to visitors, but also to impress the search engines like Good and Yahoo.  Bing was not a factor yet.

This worked well, and the Green Clean Institute eventually took page one and item one on the major keywords.  After that, the next biggest issue was fresh information and building links on relevant sites.  This insured the position and broadened the brand as word spread to a saturation of the industry.

Well, all that changed as Google changed its search algorithms and eventually brought out Penguin.  Everyone was scrambling as Google once again shook up what we all knew about SEO processes.  The good news was that the Green Clean Institute retained its leading positions because of the years of good work that had been done.

The next move was to set up a Twitter account, a Facebook page, and a LinkedIn network.  We added a fantastic Green Cleaning Forum, and the work to maintain all of these new connections has been tremendous.  Nonetheless, the real goal was to connect with people at all levels and in every country.  What other medium could do this for our growing educational network.

LinkedIn [http://www.linkedin.com/groups/Green-Clean-Institute-4016139] has been a great way to connect in with others in the industry and find the synergies that might otherwise never exist.

Reaching the cleaning industry, or any industry, is not a one-time effort.  The Green Clean Institute Forum [http://www.greencleaninstituteforum.com] has become a great place for ideas to be developed.  Registrants may comment or ideas put forth in the form of articles, and the forum allows members to interact with others with the same concerns.

There is a lot of work needed to bring the cleaning industry to a Green and sustainable standards, but this is the calling and mission of the Green Clean Institute.  Join in our social networks and be a part of the change for the better.
