The first edition of MISS DANCE OF THE WORLD will start at the beginning of next year and will be held in each country around the world. It will end with the final show in Las Vegas on 21 September 2013 which will be broadcast on most of the major TV networks.
There will be no restrictions on nationality or dance styles when determining who’s the best of them all. The girls will have an opportunity to dance in styles like Hip-Hop, Go-Go, Street, Latin, Belly, Traditional Folk and many more. What’s more, since it won’t be just about dancing, the competition will be even more gripping. A special round will challenge the girls to be as beautiful on the stage, as they are talented on the dance floor, if they wish to win the grand prize of $100,000. After applying to compete on the official website www.missdanceoftheworld.com, they will be judged on two main criteria (both carrying equal weight): dancing skills and beauty.
The winner of MISS DANCE OF THE WORLD will also earn many material prizes, including the golden statuette made specifically for the competition, and will become the official ambassador to all charity and dance projects around the world related to the Miss Dance Organization.
Norman Hollander, one of the key figures in the company, described the event as follows: ‘Nowadays the world is constantly changing, and to our great disappointment, we must confess that people have more ambitions and aims than time to really enjoy life and appreciate the beautiful things around us. That's why we created this contest. First, we would like to provide each contestant with better opportunities to prove herself as a dancer and popularize the dancing arts among the youth. Second, with the help of our representatives in various countries and all shows we’ll hold over the next year, we’ll try to reach as many people as possible and present some of the beautiful things around us, hoping to inspire more positive emotions. This is our way to make people realize how beautiful and precious life actually is and send the following message: “Keep the beautiful things untouched and change those that need changing to make the world a better place’’.
