An excerpt from the rising book, Be Still, by author Tania L Ramos:

Before she could walk away, he asked what the tune was that she hummed; it was plaguing him and occupying his mind so thick he felt his head would burst.
“You know this song?” She smiled as if delighted, her stringy auburn and gray hair flowing on a breeze. Her radiant, clear blue eyes grew younger as she gave a coarse, childish giggle and began to answer.
“It’s a silly old song,” Shannon interrupted. “Come, my love. Let this woman be on her way.” She tugged at his arm, and he moved with her, but he was curious why this question vexed her.
He glanced back over a shoulder to the elderly woman for an answer.
Without as much as a peep or a grunt, the woman raised her wrinkled brow and then continued on her way, walking into the darkness of that lonely hilltop, until she was succumbed by the chasm of the night. The light, upbeat tune lingered behind as a delicate echo off the mountains.

Be Still is the poignant tale of a son seeking truth and resolution from an absent father and of a father, trapped between life and death, who must mend relationships and confront his own demons—before time seals all wounds for an eternity.

About Be Still:
“I think at some point everybody wonders what happens to a person’s mind and soul when that person is in a coma,” Ramos writes. “Be Still answers this question from a purely speculative opinion, but it also hits on decisions a family member must make in regards to life-support and death.”

"I write my stories with an audience of men and women in mind.  My books tend to have a very strong male protagonist as the lead character," Tania replied when asked who her audience is.  "I want to hit women in the heart and be able to say they fell in love with the lead character, but I also want men to walk away saying they admired the hero or see a bit of themselves in the male role."

"I saw Emma Stone with flaming red hair and when she smiled I instantly saw her as Dr. Chris.  Chris is a very strong and wily female but eventually shows her flaws and weaknesses, and Emma Stone would definitely bring that character to life," Tania stated when asked who would plays the lead roles if her book went Hollywood.  As for the male characters she replied, "Travis would be Bradley Cooper, hands down.  He fits the description to a tee, even though it wasn't written with him in mind.  And the part of Jack would have to go Harrison Ford not only because he fits the part but because he was and has remained my biggest Hollywood crush."

Reviews:
"Anyone who has had their time cut short with someone they love, or suffered the loss of a loved one will find comfort in the message and the journey that follows. ”
Kristi Loucks

"The characters are so familiar they feel like a part of your family! ”

"Because we are all mortal, because we all seek love, and because we all must one-day die, we can take heart in the bitter-sweet ending of love overcoming hatred, and find hope in our own souls when we dare to find with Travis and Chris the wisdom to BE STILL . . . it is a thought provocative read!"
David M. Gehlhausen

"This is a novel of what could be called `eye-stinging' warmth, because you'd have to almost be made of stone not to be touched by this story of lives and love and hope and chances lost. But what moves this story beyond tragedy is the simple truth that love, and loving, are the only things that ultimately mean anything in the long run.
My advice: Buy it."
