San Dieguito Art Guild Announces New 2012 Board

PRLog (Press Release) - Aug. 31, 2012 - Welcoming new board members, Kathy Chin and Jill Treadwell-Svendson, Co-Secretaries, and Rita Hohweiler-Cecil, Co-Public Relations Chair.  Returning board members are: Lin Holzinger, Treasurer, Judianne Shannon, Parliamentarian; Terry Oshrin, Gallery Manager, Grace Swanson, Wall Chair, Linda Melvin, Floor Chair,   Lynn Ely, Monthly Chair, Karen Fidel, Membership, Pamela Waldman, Calendar, Cheryl Ehlers, Co-Public Relations, Carol Korfin, Web Mistress; Sharon Hoffman, Newsletter. We thank all for volunteering your time and efforts in maintaining the Guild’s focus on efficiency and integrity.  We are so pleased to have you aboard!

Established in 1965, the San Dieguito Art Guild (SDAG) is an organization dedicated to furthering artistic understanding and fostering artistic growth of members and the community at large by promoting interest, education, knowledge and skills in the visual arts.

SDAG operates the lovely and tasteful, Off Track Gallery, the “biggest little gallery” in town, where you can shop for creative art in a variety of mediums, including painting, photography, 3-D art, glass work, gourd art, mosaics, and jewelry.  Off Track Gallery showcases the work of local artists and is sustained primarily through membership, and proceeds from other organizational activities.   Membership is open to the public, and gallery space is open to San Diego County residents.

Moving into the future, we’ve planned exciting exhibitions, quarterly art demonstrations, and ‘Try it You’ll Like It’ art classes.  We look forward to hosting local youth and adult organizations, partnering with local organizations in promoting art, fundraising to educate the public on art awareness, and offering opportunities to our Off Track Gallery artists and members.
