The earlier form of adjusting instrument was called an “Activator”
This is particularly beneficial for those with tight or tense muscles such as in the neck, as the speediness involved allows the adjustment to occur faster than the muscles can tighten up to prevent it. This means much less muscle soreness during the adjustment and afterward.
In a number of clinical trials, instrument adjusting fared equally as well as manual adjusting techniques in reducing pain and improving function and freer movement. And because the force of the instrument is fully adjustable, it can be used to adjust babies, the elderly, and everyone in between with much success. There are people of all ages who prefer a gentle, low force, yet effective adjustment.
