UAT Faculty and Student Present at PAX Prime in Seattle

Professor Paul DeNigris and student Caleb Evans will be at PAX Prime in Seattle this Saturday discussing the making of the sci-fi epic Red Sand: A Mass Effect Fan Film. The panel will discuss how fans and companies are working to bring video games to life through film. They will be covering story development, digital effects, and how to create a unique interpretation.  The panel will provide the information and inspiration to start your own fan film project. The panelists will be a variety of different producers, designers and writer of fan films.

Red Sand is a Mass Effect fan film that was shot and produced for the most part on the campus of University of Advancing Technology. It is a prequel to the MASS EFFECT game series, being set 35 years before the time of Commander Shepard. With an engaging story line and creative special effects, Mass Effect has been making headlines as it has already racked up over 40,000 views on just the trailer alone.
