FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Sullivan County is known for its farm markets and farm fresh produce. The farm stands and farmers markets are winding down their season. Be sure to get out and shop for your favorite fresh fruits and vegetables while you still can! The Liberty, Barryville and Roscoe Farmers Markets are all operating into sometime in October while the Callicoon Farmers Market is open well into November.
If it’s farm fresh cuisine you’re looking for, September 1st brings you 2 great opportunities!
You can take part in a unique epicurean experience on a historic truss bridge over looking the Neversink River, in the South Fallsburg, served to you by a super star chef. Another great option is the Annual Barn Dinner at Neversink Farm in Claryville. For one evening, straw and farm equipment are hauled from the 150 year old working barn and a beautiful dining environment is created. Before supper there is time to enjoy canapés, while wandering the vegetable fields, strolling the flower garden, and walking the banks of the river of what some call one of the most beautiful farms in the Catskills. James Beard Award winning Chef Patrick Connolly will prepare a multiple course meal sourced from the fields nearby and other local farms
