By: Heartmanity August 31, 2012 Contact Information: No parent wants to hear that his or her child is being bullied. No parent wants to hear that his or her child is a bully. Bullying is an epidemic in this country – an estimated 5 million children get bullied every year. In fact, bullying has become such an issue that states are enacting anti-bullying laws that aim to address bullying when it happens. According to the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, close to half of all children will experience school bullying at some point while they are at elementary or middle school. All children deserve to be safe. We as a community have a responsibility to ensure their safety and well being by teaching them skills to navigate through potentially difficult and even dangerous situations. Jennifer Williams, founder of the Heartmanity Center based in Livingston, Montana, aims to work with parents, teachers, school administrators, caregivers, and anyone else who is challenged with this issue. Jennifer’s goal is to foster rock-solid skills in children and adults alike to empower them to navigate through difficult situations successfully, communicate effectively, and dispel tension that interrupts the bullying cycle and creates positive results. In her September 22nd Bozeman, Montana workshop, Jennifer Williams will teach essential ingredients of mindset along with crucial tools necessary for children and adults to respond successfully to bullying. Let’s unite to prevent bullying and create a safe community for all. The Bully-Proof Our Children workshop takes place Saturday, September 22, 2012 in Bozeman, Montana from 10:00 am – 12:00 pm at the Emerson Cultural Center. Advance registration is required. Cost per person is $20. Registration and information is available online at www.heartmanity.com. Jennifer can also be reached at 406/222-1207.
