John W. Lawit, P.C. To Offer Free Consultations For Deferred Action For Childhood Arrivals Program

PRLog (Press Release) - Aug. 31, 2012 - Albuquerque, N.M. Beginning in September 2012 John W. Lawit, P.C. will be conducting free consultations and workshops on successive Saturdays from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at 2305 Renard Place SE, Suite #210 Albuquerque, NM.  These workshops will be conducted for individuals requesting consideration of deferred action for childhood arrivals. Applicants needing assistance in determining their eligibility for the program can receive information by attending the workshops or by calling John W. Lawit, P.C. at (505) 243-7733. Eligible applicants will be assisted in completing Form I-821D, Consideration of Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals, Form I-765, Application for Employment Authorization, and I-765WS, Worksheet.

7 CRITERIA TO BE ELIGIBLE TO FILE FOR DEFERRED ACTION:
YOU ARE BETWEEN 15 AND 30 YEARS OF AGE (EXCEPTION: REMOVAL).
YOU ENTERED THE US BEFORE YOUR 16TH BIRTHDAY.
YOU ENTERED THE US UNDOCUMENTED OR YOUR IMMIGRATION LEGAL STATUS HAS EXPIRED.
YOU HAVE LIVED IN THE US CONTINUOUSLY SINCE JUNE 15, 2007.
YOU WERE PHYSICALLY PRESENT IN THE US ON JUNE 15, 2012.
YOU CURRENTLY ATTEND HIGH SCHOOL, HAVE GRADUATED FROM SCHOOL
OR OBTAINED YOUR GED.
YOU HAVE NOT BEEN CONVICTED OF A FELONY, SIGNIFICANT MISDEMEANOR,
OR MULTIPLE MISDEMEANORS.
