With four comedians on board, The Spanky Brown Show dares to cross lines other sports shows won’t touch and often includes skits, character impressions, and improvisation. Other comedians regularly appear as guests on the show, and the crew has been known to break out into random parodies in the middle of a sports story. Their unique outlook on the sporting industry is sure to continue attracting new fans in the years to come. The show already boasts a broad audience of sports fans from around the world (including a surprising number of women), and listeners are encouraged to call in at 347-732-5286 to voice their own opinions.
The show’s four comedians include: Spanky Brown, a 12-year veteran who has toured nationally and is seen regularly on B.E.T.’s Comic View and Comedy Central; Tone X, who brings 18 years of comedy experience to the table; newcomer Greg Henderson, also known as RUC – Really Unknown Comic; and aspiring comedian Lionel Forbes, or Flawda Gator. Derrick Wright is also on board as the show’s producer.
Spanky Brown, aka The Professional, The R&B of Comedy, The Gift of Timing and Delivery, and An Incredible Presence, began his comedy career in November 1997 at an Open Mic Night in Savannah, Georgia. He has toured the world, sharing his unique perspective and opinions on life, politics, religion, and race relations and relationships. Using his own life experiences to show his audiences that “it could be worse,” he has become one of the most requested return comedians in comedy clubs across the US. Where Spanky’s style really shines, however, is on the radio!
Consisting of 70% comedy and 30% sports, The Spanky Brown Show is talk radio
