Dr. Bennett became a member of the (AACP) in 1990 when he started treating Temporomandibular Joint Dysfunction (TMJ), Snoring, and Sleep Apnea in Tulsa. Previously he served 4 years as the Program Chairman and 2 years as President-Elect.
In 1990, there were a limited amount of trained professionals in the TMJ, Snoring, and Sleep Apnea areas of Medicine/Dentistry. Dr. Bennett saw the need for a practitioner who could serve people in the Tulsa area suffering from these disorders and made the decision then to limit his practice to only treating people with these disorders.
To stay up to date on the latest procedures and further his skills, Dr. Bennett has attended national meetings including extensive post-graduate and continuing education courses. He has accumulated more than 3,000 hours pertaining to TMJ disorders, Obstructive Sleep Apnea, Orthopedics, Orthodontics, and Craniofacial Orthopedics. Dr. Bennett is a recognized expert in his field and has had the distinct privilege of lecturing to the (AACP) and other organizations as an invited lecturer on TMJ disorders, snoring, and sleep apnea.
Since 1990, Dr. Bennett at The Tulsa TMJ, Orofacial Pain, and Sleep Disorders Clinic has helped thousands of people in Tulsa and the surrounding areas improve their quality of life and eliminate the pain and health issues associated with TMJ disorders, snoring, and sleep apnea.
Over the last 22 years, Dr. Bennett has achieved numerous professional credentials including a Fellowship with the International College of Craniomandibular Orthopedics, a Diplomate with the American Academy of Pain Management, a Fellowship with the American Academy of Craniofacial Pain, a Diplomate with the American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine, and a Diplomate with the American Board of Craniofacial Pain. Dr. Bennett is also a Member of the American Academy of Orofacial Pain, Oklahoma Dental Association and the Tulsa County Dental Association.
Dr. Terry Bennett, a Tulsa TMJ Dentist, is a 1972 graduate of Oklahoma State University with a B.S. degree in Zoology. He then attended the University of Louisville Dental School and graduated in 1977. Dr. Bennett began his dentistry practice that same year.
