Offers one free bed per month for a year at premiere facility in West Hollywood
August 29, 2012, West Hollywood, CA – For anyone who has struggled with addiction—be it their own or that of a loved one—the process of finding the right help can be overwhelming, confusing, and expensive. Addiction, an incredibly complex disorder, can arise from a multitude of physical and psychological factors. It is the profound understanding of the intertwined relationship between addiction and mental health that sets KLEAN Treatment Center apart from other substance abuse recovery facilities.
To kick off National Substance Abuse Recovery Month, September 2012, KLEAN, located in a quiet enclave in West Hollywood, California, is giving away one complimentary bed per month for the next year to 12 individuals who have the commitment to recovery but lack funds for an in-patient facility.
KLEAN Treatment Center provides an exemplary level of professional care including affiliated physicians and accredited clinicians. CEO and co-founder Andrew Spanswick, MSW, a veteran manager and owner of behavioral health hospitals with more than two decades of experience in psychiatric and addiction treatment, says under normal circumstances, each bed costs $30,000 per month. We are donating $360,000 of care and treatment in one of the nation’s most serene sober living environments and if other facilities follow our example, just think of the number of people who can be helped and the lives that can be saved.”
Substance abusers may submit a video of up to 5 minutes at www.kleantreamtmentcenter.com explaining their situation and why they’re ready to make a change. Spanswick explains, “Recovery requires commitment and our selection will be based on both need and level of demonstrated commitment apparent in the video.”
Under the supervision of co-founder Dr. A. Jason Coe, KLEAN’s Medical Director of Psychiatric Services, selected candidates will receive the full treatment at KLEAN, including concierge-style clinical care with round-the-clock access to doctors and psychiatrists who specialize in addiction treatment. Additionally, KLEAN offers a 12-week Intensive Outpatient Program in which clients attend daily groups, receive individual counseling and are given a personalized treatment plan.
“Addiction treatment is extremely complex and every patient has a unique set of life experiences that must be taken into account to effectively help treat substance abuse,” said Spanswick. “At KLEAN Treatment Center we take a holistic approach that addresses the addiction itself, as well as the underlying physical, mental or emotional causes, in order to help each client chart an individualized course to maintain their sobriety and regain control of their lives.” Group family sessions and family therapy are also provided to help family members understand addiction and how to best support their loved ones in recovery.
All clients, including those selected for the monthly beds, receive free lifetime aftercare, which includes access to a weekly group session, an alumni barbeque every Sunday and a monthly alumni outing. Clients are encouraged to come by the center as needed in order to provide support and promote ongoing and sustained sobriety.
