PRLog - Aug. 30, 2012 - DENVER -- On September 7, from 6 to 10pm, in honor of those who risk their lives to combat Colorado’s fires, the Denver Photo Art Gallery will debut “FIRE! COLORADO UNDER SIEGE”- an intense visual journey which will feature twenty-one large aerial and ground photographs of the Waldo Canyon fire in Colorado Springs, and the High Park fire near Fort Collins. A special collection of images from the book “Probie” will also be shown as a tribute to those training to become firefighters.
Selected for their powerful imagery, the following photographers will be on display:
• John Wark- pilot, aerial photographer & Pueblo gallery owner
• AAron Ontiveroz - full-time staff photographer for the Denver Post & Emmy-winning videographer
• Steve “Smitty” Smith – Fire Protection Engineer II w/ the Co. Springs FD and fire photographer
• Richard Saxon – Award-winning photographer, author of “Probie,” & proud father of a volunteer firefighter
The exhibit shows September 7 through November 27, 2012 and admittance is free. Ten percent of exhibit sales will benefit the Colorado Fallen Firefighters Foundation- a local organization dedicated to honoring all firefighters who have lost their lives protecting the land and people of Colorado by providing support to their spouses and dependants. http://www.coff.us
