Sydney, a former Emergency Director for a local hospital, and Garrett, a retired FBI agent attempt their hand at changing to a career in horse breeding. Things are going along nicely until Sydney’s friend Janet is killed by a crazed ex-boyfriend and Garrett’s brother Kevin is critically injured trying to protect her.
Gabby, a horse-whispering trainer, soon functions as part-time trainer and part-time therapist as Kevin is recovering from his wounds.
The story shifts gears when Garrett is out of town taking Kevin for his evaluation. Sydney finds out that a drug cartel member named Jose’, who Garrett had locked up years earlier, has escaped from prison and has his mind set on revenge.
The FBI is brought in to protect Sydney and Gabby from harm. Sydney however, proves to be just as much an asset as any agent when she takes on the drug cartel.
