'Olympic events will drive British entries in the New York Marathon', say Sports Tours International

Sports Tours International believe the hard work, dedication and success of these athletes will inspire many people to take up new sports, as well as compete in major events like the forthcoming New York Marathon.

Among the most inspiring figures of the Olympic Games is 10,000m and 5,000m runner Mo Farah, who won the Gold in both events. Sports Tours International said his achievements could also lead people into taking on their first 5k or 10k race.

"Mo Farah is an inspiration and his triumph at London 2012 will go a long way towards raising the profile of running these distances. The great thing about 5k and 10k runs is that they are so accessible here in the UK.
