Invacare's new community bed range - Medley Ergo

PRLog (Press Release) - Aug. 30, 2012 - Invacare is pleased to present the Medley Ergo bed range. Based on the popular Etude Medley range, the new and improved community beds are robust and have been designed to optimise patient care.

Offering the perfect balance between budget, functionality and quality requirements, the Medley Ergo has a four-sectioned profiling mattress support allows for a range of height combinations, providing an ideal position for the carer and comfort for the client. The Medley Ergo Low offers the same benefits as the Medley Ergo but lowers to a 210mm height to maximise safety for vulnerable clients who are prone to unexpected bed leaving.

Homely design
The Medley Ergo Select offers an attractive, homely design. Also available as a retro-fit to the Medley Ergo and Medley Ergo Low, this Select bed end cover fits with precision onto the bed actuators and can be removed at any time. The leg supports also come equipped with a rastofix to enable individual positioning for the legs.

New optimised mattress platform sections
The mattress platform on the new Medley Ergo bed range has an innovative construction based on anthropometrical measurement which helps prevent the client from sliding downwards in the bed. The optimised dimensions also reduce shear and friction and increase client comfort and positioning.

Fully compliant
The bed range is compliant with the new standard for medical beds IEC 60601-2-52 which comes into effect on 1st April 2013. One of the first community beds that meet the new standard, you will have peace of mind that your beds have passed the stringent tests to ensure patient safety.
