PRLog - Aug. 29, 2012 - PALM COAST, Fla. -- On Monday, August 20, the Flagler Business Women selected Rebecca DeLorenzo, executive vice president of the Flagler County Chamber of Commerce & Affiliates as its 2012 Woman of the Year.
According to Jeanna Passalaqua, immediate past chair of the Flagler Business Women, DeLorenzo was selected for many reasons, one of the most important being her “well rounded personality.”
“Home, business, community, social and/or professional organizations and family activities are just a few areas where Rebecca actively devotes her time and talents,” said Passalaqua. “She’s been an asset to our organization, and we are delighted to award this honor given all she does for our community.”
A committed, community-minded professional, DeLorenzo oversees a staff of ten, manages daily operations and coordinates special events for the Flagler County Chamber of Commerce and its four affiliate organizations. In addition to her Chamber responsibilities, Rebecca serves as an executive board member and Dell Trayer Teacher Grant Chair for The Flagler County Education Foundation, as a member of Flagler County Business Women and as a board member for both the Florida Association of Chamber Professionals and the Family Life Center.
Doug Baxter, president of the Flagler County Chamber of Commerce & Affiliates, echoed Passalaqua’s support of his colleague.
“The Flagler Business Women couldn’t have selected a more deserving recipient,” said Baxter. “Rebecca personifies professional excellence and demonstrates her commitment to the community and our staff everyday. We’re delighted for Rebecca and this significant accomplishment.”
The Flagler Business Women will host dinner in DeLorenzo’s honor Monday, Oct. 15, 2012 at the Hilton Garden Inn. Cost to attend is $40 per person. Reservations are necessary; please email Jeannarotary2@
