Research Reveals Which Celebrities are Preferred by Republicans and Democrats.

(August 29, 2012, Encino, CA) The upcoming Presidential election is shaping up as a highly partisan contest, with Republicans and Democrats disagreeing on many issues.  When it comes to celebrities, opinions can also be divided along party lines.

E-Poll Market Research has combed through its E-Score Celebrity® database of more than 7,000 celebrities to find which ones have the most partisan appeal; in other words, which celebrities are most preferred by members of one of the two major U.S. political parties.

To create this list, each celebrity’s appeal level among members of one party is subtracted from the appeal among the other party to find the greatest differences, or the celebrities with the biggest partisan appeal.  For example, Elizabeth Hasselbeck’s appeal is 51 percentage points higher among Republicans than it is among Democrats.  The list excludes politicians, political commentators and news personalities.
