Vista Landscape Center
During the early morning of August 11th, volunteers happily gathered at a local home to create a tortoise habitat by shoveling and moving wheelbarrows full of soil. In addition to 3 tons of soil, construction of this habitat included cement blocks and plywood for a private and cozy home. The burrow is designed to be safe from the risk of flooding and allows the tortoise to be out of any air flow while allowing the tortoise to still be within sight of the owner.
