Snell & Wilmer Attorney Appointed to National Bar Association Young Lawyers' Division Committee

Aug. 29, 2012 - PRLog -- Snell & Wilmer is pleased to announce that Karl O. Riley, an associate in the Las Vegas office, has been appointed to serve as co-chair of the 2012-2013 Membership Committee for the National Bar Association (NBA) Young Lawyers' Division (YLD).

“This is an exciting opportunity,” Riley said. “I look forward to working with my co-chairs to build a strong committee and increase YLD’s membership. Working with law students and sharing with them the benefits of being involved in the NBA will be a rewarding experience.”

Riley will be responsible for the YLD's relationship with National Black Law Student Association (NBLSA) and for developing programs and strategies to increase membership of YLD.  

“Karl was selected from an impressive pool of applicants because he has the qualifications necessary to strengthen this Division and assist in achieving its goals.  With his help, this will be an exciting, engaging and productive year,” said Michelle C. Thomas, chair, NBA YLD.

The YLD is the division of the NBA that serves and represents new members of the legal profession. It provides young lawyers with the tools, network, and support needed to ensure personal and professional success. Membership in the YLD is open to National Bar Association members who are under 40 years old or admitted to practice for 10 years or less.
