Boston, MA -- Advanced Practice Strategies (APS), leading innovators in healthcare knowledge delivery, today announced that Bob Salitsky has joined APS as the Vice President of Engineering.

“Bringing Bob onto the APS team is a big win for us in our mission to bring technology to bear on the most important problem in healthcare. His experience in creating transformative systems to deliver tremendous new value is perfectly aligned with our opportunity,” said Dennis Ferrill, CEO. “As we deploy technology to change the way knowledge is delivered to physicians and nurses, Bob's expertise and creativity will enable us to not only build a great team, but also to build truly great solutions that will save lives and dramatically reduce healthcare costs.”

“APS is full of smart people who are passionate about the mission: transforming continuing education in healthcare to reduce preventable errors and save lives,” said Salitsky. “It’s a technical challenge to develop a new platform for content delivery, but the stakes are high, and the payoff is great: the opportunity to have a deep and lasting impact on healthcare.”

Salitsky brings more than 25 years of experience with infrastructure software, mobile applications, and Internet technology development to APS. Prior to joining APS, Salitsky was CTO of inStream Media, where he rapidly built a technology platform to launch inStream's targeted retail POS advertising business, which has delivered over three billion targeted ads and counting to consumers.

Prior to joining inStream, Salitsky was VP Engineering and CTO of PatientKeeper, where he led development teams in designing and developing best-in-class physician information systems, from initial product architecture and development to successful nationwide implementation. Salitsky also served as VP Engineering at HighPoint Systems and as Senior Technologist for Vicinity Corporation.

Salitsky holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Engineering Sciences and Computer Science from Dartmouth College.
