This project combines all areas of contemporary visual art into a performance where the gallery space is a backpack sculpture that collaborates with other artist while interacting with different environments, spaces, and viewers. The BackPack Gallery takes art out of confinement and into the public and mobile realm. Art and the artists come to the viewer. The gallery presents art in an interactive environment through video, site-specific installation, and performance art. All the Gallery Units are equipped with gallery lights, a folder with artist’s info and CV/bio, guest & comment book, and magnetic doors that hold artist & gallery mission statement. Artist exhibiting in the BackPack Gallery are asked to participate by creating an art installation (video, mixed media, photography and sculpture art) and performing with their BackPack Sculpture Units. http://thebpgallery.com/ End
