Derek Opert Joins Avison Young New England as Analyst

PRLog (Press Release) - Aug. 28, 2012 - Derek Opert joined Avison Young’s New England office in 2012 as an Analyst/Accountant.  He is responsible for optimizing property operations, overseeing property accounting, supporting leasing teams in the marketing and leasing of spaces, assisting in investor and lender relations, devising both long term and short term plans strategic plans for assets under management, and completing investment valuations.

Prior to joining Avison Young, Derek was an Associate at Joseph J. Blake & Associates in Boston, where he was responsible for completing commercial real estate valuation and consulting assignments of various types of portfolios and individual commercial properties.  He has performed market research and financial modeling for a multitude of different property types including: office, industrial, R&D, retail, biotech, multi-family, telecom, hospitality and vacant land.  

Derek is a member of the University of Wisconsin Real Estate Alumni Association (WREAA) as well as the Harvard Club of Boston.
